Unoriginal Tunisian German Rapper Steals Black Metal Themes to Make Gold Records

News of an ordinary, talentless rapper stealing bits of somebody else's music is about as fresh as sour milk wrapped in a shitty diaper, but when the same gangsta notoriously rips off the same band, we've got a problem.

In a recent post found on Blabbermouth, German rapper Bushido (real name: Anis Mohamed Youssef Ferchichi), for the second time in six years, is accused of having stolen music from the black metal band Dimmu Borgir, this time for his new song "Leben Und Tod Des Kenneth Glöckler" (English-language translation: "Life And Death Of Kenneth Glöckler").
Bushido's track — which will appear on his upcoming album "Sonny Black" (due in February 2014) — clearly borrows the musical theme from the Dimmu Borgir song "Dimmu Borgir", which is featured on the Norwegian group's 2010 CD "Abrahadabra".

Problem is, Bushido isn't even bothering to cover his stolen tracks, as pretty much all his song contains is the sample of the lifted choir and a beatbox with a freaky german rapping spiel.

Hope this time Dimmu Borgir sues and wins!

Check out both tracks below and compare:
(BTW, as of this post, 6,489,030 views of the rapper's shit cover of Dimmu (released on November 22, 2013 and only 183,572 views of Dimmu's song (released back in 2010).

Add 'Death Metal Angola' to Your Must Watch List

The award-winning documentary "Death Metal Angola" has just opened at the DOC NYC film festival, which runs November 14-21 at IFC Center and SVA Theater in New York.

Following nearly 40 years of unrelenting war — with every attendant horror — peace and reconstruction are slowly arriving to Angola. Damaged first by the war for independence from Portugal, Angola was then ripped apart by a devastating civil war that orphaned thousands of children. Huambo, Angola's second largest city, finds 55 of these children in the Okutiuka orphanage under the care of Sonia Ferreira. Sonia's boyfriend, Wilker Flores, is a death metal guitarist who uses the brutal sounds and rhythms of this hardcore music as a path to healing, or, as Sonia says, "to clear out the debris from all these years of war."

"Death Metal Angola" tracks Wilker and Sonia's dream — to stage Angola's first-ever national rock concert, bringing together members from different strands of the Angolan hardcore scene from different provinces — as it unfolds in fits and starts against the bombed out and mined backdrop of the formerly stately Huambo. Rubble and deconstructed spaces provide scenic reminders of why hardcore music has gained a foothold.

Is Rdio Screwing with My Kid?

So my daughter likes a lot of symphonic metal. She has an account with Rdio and recently, when playing a symphonic metal station, she came along these three songs in a row.
What the hell is their algorithm? Bands-with-female-singers-that-end-in-'ica'?

Metalheads Have a Low Self-Esteem

Before your likely explosion of butthurt, read on, would you?

A study by Westminster University has attempted to find out what makes metal aficionados tick.
Psychologist Viren Swami asked 219 women and 195 men living in the UK to fill out surveys about their personality after listening to and rating 10 heavy metal tracks.

Study found that most metal fans have a strong need to be individual.
The lower self-esteem was linked to negative attitudes towards authority.
Earlier research found that metal fans have many personality traits in common with those who enjoy classical music.

By matching music preference to the personality traits, Professor Swami found that ‘openness to experience’ was a major factor in enjoying heavy metal.

Perhaps more surprising however, was the fact that those with a strong preference for metal were more likely to have lower self-esteem.
Metal heads also had a higher-than-average need for uniqueness, and lower-than-average levels of religiosity.
‘It is possible that this association is driven by underlying attitudes towards authority, which may include religious authorities,’ said the authors of the study.

A separate study by Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh found that lovers of heavy metal and classical music have very similar personality traits.
Unlike the Westminster University study, it found that both types tend to be creative, at ease with themselves and introverted.

Lars Ulrich is a Belieber

Justin Bieber is a self-professed Metallica superfan, and even posted a cover of the group's song "Fade to Black" online earlier this year. In case you caught the cover on YouTube before the video was taken down and whoever posted it was publicly crucified, Bieber mumbles some words for about 15 seconds, and somebody assumed it was a timeless Metallica cover.

Well, that someone turned out to be Lars Ulrich himself, who would like repay Bieber's for the exposure and now him and James Hetfield claim that "Are we Beliebers? Yes."

Ulrich added, "I think the kid's really talented (what?!?!) and obviously to go through what he's going through (puberty?) at that early age must be a mindfuck (please don't swear around children Lars). So the fact that he still goes out there and does it, I admire that, and I think he's super talented (again - WHAT?!?), so I guess I am kind of a Belieber." Bassist Robert Trujillo continues the Bieber lovefest, saying, "As long as he stays out of trouble, I'll be a Belieber." Kirk couldn't be reached for a comment. He was too busy learning Bieber's tablature for the next "Garage Days" album.

Rappers Review Ghost "Year Zero"

We all know that rap rhymes with... uhmm, awesome, so how about a look at metal from a rapper's point of view?

A bunch of talented rappers analyze the promo video for Ghost's (Ghost B.C. in USA) "Year Zero" from 2013 Infestissumam and I can't help but wonder if these nerdy dudes have ever seen a naked woman in their lives, because when the boobs appear at 1:22 of the clip, they harmoniously cheer, giggle and just about have a heart attack.

My fave? "Is this allowed to be on YouTube?" You can also tell that music knowledge is not a prerequisite to become a rapper as they're not paying any attention to the sounds and only resort to completely unfunny commentary about the visual aspect of the song. Wait a minute... I just analyzed a group of dudes analyzing a video and comparing tits to cake. What the Fuck!?!

Unholy Renditions of Christmas Classics by Hate Eternal Bassist

Forget all about Twisted Sister's "Twisted Christmas".
This holiday season already has a soundtrack. Hate Eternal bassist J.J. Hrubovcak brings you his Death Metal renditions of some of your favorite holiday classics such as "We Three Kings" and "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen", in a "Hellish Renditions of Christmas Classics". But before you roll your eyes and shake your head in disapproval, take my word for it. Based on a sample, this is actually pretty good.

The short EP of xmas epics is composed and produced by J.J. with vocals and artwork by brother/Monstrosity vocalist Mike Hrubovcak, the album was engineered by Hate Eternal mastermind Erik Rutan and J.J., mixed and mastered by Brian Elliott at Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, and boasts five deformed Christmas classics.

J.J. states: "Far from a campy holiday metal record, "Hellish Renditions Of Christmas Classics" comes replete with updated arrangements, blast beats, double bass drum battery, hellbound guitar solos and new lyrics with a purpose. A death metal record first and Christmas album second, the themes of the hymns were used as a foundation for the music and can mostly be heard in the right channel. Everything else was built around the theme -- solo sections, intros, outros, harmonies, etc. It was important from the start that this album not be a joke, but a serious record that could survive outside of the Christmas season and thus the resulting symphony of sickness."

The track listing is as follows:

1. Unrest For Melancholy Men (God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen)
2. Earthen Kings (We Three Kings)
3. Nutracker: Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy
4. Greensleeves
5. O Come, O Come, Azrael (O Come, O Come, Emmanuel)

Animated Van Halen Unite Jews, Christians And Muslims In South Park

Van Halen get the animation treatment during new episode of South Park titled 'Ginger Cow'. In the episode Cartman pulls off a prank that brings the leaders of the world's major religions to the tiny town of South Park to witness a Biblical prophecy that has been fulfilled.

While you can't watch it on YouTube any more, (because of religious conflicts or copyright, I don't know) you might be able to see the episode in all it's 3D glory on Canadian MuchMusic here.

You Learn More About Your Fave Bands When 12-Year-Olds Conduct Interviews

When your favourite blog or podcast interviews a band, you can pretty much expect a similar array of questions. Things get more predictable than your average Steven Seagal movie.

When a bunch of 12-year-old girls ask someone like Mille Petrozza of Kreator bunch of questions, things get unpredictable and funny at times. Two 12-year-old girls from "Kids Interview Bands" (which apparently translates pretty much the same way into German) ask very original and unintentionally funny questions and stump Mille in the process.

In a way, you learn a lot more about your fave bands when pre-teens ask questions. Now if only they would approach Cannibal Corpse or Gorgoroth.

Dave Lombardo's Performance with an Orchestra Will Give You Goosebumps

If this doesn't give you goosebumps, then fast forward to 1:40 as Dave Lombardo pounds the skins with The Golden State Pops Orchestra.
Man this song would make an awesome intro. Be sure to listen to the whole thing.
Fuck Slayer, I'm listening to classical from now on.

Also, I can't help this, but to me Dave looks like a younger Al Pacino here!

High School Runner Drops Out of Race Because of Satan

When religion and math collide, there is only one way to go. Actually two. You can race to hell if your number is 666 or decline to run, sit your ass down, pig out on junk food and go to heaven. (A lot sooner mind you).

That is exactly what one student chose to do when she was assigned #666 in a cross country race in Kentucky. Whitley County High School junior Codie Thacker was given the number and immediately requested a change. She and her coach asked three separate officials for a different number and her request was turned down. Religious girl chose God instead and dropped out of the race.

Quick. Somebody tell the girl that she could have worn that shirt upside down!

You can still tell what they are, so I'm not sure these are kvlt, but they sure are grimmer than the original.
I'm thinking that if they were reversed (white on black) they would be more impactful.
