Green Day wants to make a "Norwegian Death Metal" album

Sort of. I'm not sure they're capable of making a pseudo-pop-punk again, but in the deleted scene from "This is 40", Green Day frontman, Billy Joel Armstrong, pitches his novel idea to an indie record label owner played by Paul Rudd. He wants to make a "Norwegian Death Metal album mixed with Belle & Sebastian". When asked if there is a market for it, he explains "probably not, but I want it to sound like two radiostations going at the same time in a white supremacist's car".
The reference to church burnings is lame, especially that the terms "Norwegian Death Metal" and "church burnings" go together about as good as "Manowar and eskimo rain coats".

Thanks Metal Injection
